Hi! I’m Anthony Rivera, and my journey into dog training began with a childhood filled with pets of all kinds. From bearded dragons and huskies to pit bulls, rabbits, fish, and even birds, my passion for animals has always been strong. A visit to Sea World as a child ignited my dream of forming deep bonds and training magnificent creatures, a fascination that has stayed with me.
Growing up in Pacoima, I witnessed the consequences of neglect and misunderstanding in animal training. Many pit bulls, for example, were unjustly labeled as vicious and removed from homes, simply because their potential was overlooked. This experience fueled my determination to learn and advocate for these misunderstood breeds.
My path to becoming a trainer started with volunteering at a local shelter, where I immersed myself in the world of dogs. For the past year, I’ve had the privilege of training under Jesse Medina, whose mentorship has been invaluable. I also completed the Off Leash K9 Training immersive program, which helped refine my skills and knowledge.
My goal is to help owners communicate effectively with their dogs, ensuring that both can enjoy long, balanced lives filled with love and obedience. Dogs truly become part of the family, and I believe that when we invest in understanding and training them, we enrich their lives and our own.
